SED 61

The SED-61 is a high level, GSM back up device which provides a back up path for dialer based security systems. When the phone line is severed or the alarm panel is compromised, the SED-61 will automatically switch the customers security system over to the GSM network for continued communication.

GSM Technology Using Voice, Data, SMS and GPRS

In addition to this, the SED-61 will alert a monitoring station and/or end user that a fault or security breach has now taken place.

This can be done by the SED-61 own internal communication device which is separate from the customers alarm panel, using contact ID, and or SMS text messages as it will report such alarms as:

  • Line Fail
  • System tests
  • External alarm x 4 x 24hr zones
  • SMS this information to up to 3 mobiles
  • Other on board system alarms, AC fail, low Battery, GSM test

The SED-61 has the ability to control 2 x internal relays via SMS or an external option relay card with 4 relays. This can be used for home automation of general control.
